Hendy Woods - The park features two virgin redwood groves; Big Hendy (80 acres, with a self-guided discovery trail) and Little Hendy (20 acres.) The Navarro River runs the length of the park.

Manchester Beach - The park has 760 acres of beach, sand dunes, and flat grasslands, with nearly 18,000 feet of ocean frontage. The beach line curves gently to form a "catch basin" for sea debris, which accounts for the volume of driftwood found here. Five miles of gentle, sandy beach stretches southward towards the Point Arena Lighthouse.

Schooner Gulch - The beach and headlands preserve a scenic spot along the Mendocino Coast and offers a stunning perch for watching sunsets, or merely sitting in the grass as the afternoon sun glistens on the waters below. Fishing, picnicking, and surfing are popular activities here.

Fort Ross State Historic Park (also as an historic site) - Fort Ross was established in 1812 by Russians as an outpost for sea otter hunters and a permanent trade base. It was the southernmost outpost of a Russian presence in the Pacific Northwest. The holdings were sold to John Sutter, who later became famous when gold was discovered at his saw mill in the Sierra Nevada foothills.

Stillwater Cove Regional Park (Sonoma Co.) - This 210 acre park includes a campground with coin operated shower facilities and flush restrooms, and day use parking. There is a half-mile trail leading to the historic one-room Fort Ross Schoolhouse. The park offers picnic facilities and a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean from Stillwater Cove. The park has open meadows mixed with coastal forest.

Salt Point State Park - Rocky promontories, panoramic views, kelp-dotted coves, and the dramatic sounds of pounding surf; open grasslands, forested hills, pristine prairies, and pygmy forests- you can experience all of these coastal wonders within the 6,000 acres of Salt Point State Park.

Kruse Rhododendron State Reserve (fabulous in May!) - Kruse Rhododendron State Reserve is located adjacent to Salt Point State Park. Edward P. Kruse donated the land to the people of California in 1933 as a living memorial to his father, a founder of San Francisco's German Bank. The land was part of a large ranch established in 1880, on which the Kruse family raised sheep and carried on logging and tanbark harvesting operations.

The Sea Ranch Public Access Points - Six Sea Ranch access trails provide trailhead parking areas, restrooms and a short hike to outstanding coastal access points. Each of the six access trails provides access to the beaches by footpaths, staircases or trails.

Gualala Point Regional Park - The 195 acre park has open meadows mixed with coastal forest. The park contains a campground, trail system, Visitors Center, coastal vistas, and sandy beaches. The park is located adjacent to the Gualala River, which offers limited seasonal fishing. Please check current regulations.
